Saint Marian Survival Roleplay
They thought its only an accident, but they thought it wrong


Ladies and Gentelmen,

After long discussion with fellow Developer team of The New Generation Gaming we decided to advance our Community into far new adventures of an Roleplay series called "Saint Marian Survival Roleplay". The Roleplay story will be interesting and very frightening about what happened to city that was once called "Saint Marian"



Story


Story starts back arround 1989. In Saint Marian City, where the people life was happy, and when the large ammount of technology invest was filled into it. Unforunately, the accident that happened on Saint Marian changed peoples lives for ever. At the late night of 1989, July 3rd, at 01:23AM of the night, the Nuclear Powerplant called "Isaacs" faced temporary power-down on one of its reactors. The Temporary power-down was caused by technotic plate movement near Saint Marian city, which caused unstability to its reactor. The maintence team tried to turn it off automaticly and re route the power back up, eventually the reactor went up to the high scale of power, which ended up in explosion of one its shelfs, dropping out thousands tons of radioactive gas, contamined into the atmosphere and spreaded though out entire Saint Marian City. After the day, large groups of United States Military was sent to evacuate the civilians, but only part of them was escorted. Those who stayed inside the Saint Marian city, was taken by the radiation, causing the self mutation into human body, making them wild beasts. Military ordered to seal of Saint Marian city to avoid contact with mutants and the left people inside the city. Abandoned military outposts was left for survivors to find the equipment they need to survive. The radiation touched all of the city, but small part of it got small radiation contamination that survivors can be safe for. However, the horror did not stopped. On 1996, the military secretly took homeless people into the Saint Marian city to test the mutation. Once the Mutation has been fully adapated to the person, they were dropping them on the city, and leaving them to wander arround the streets and cause him massive pain of radiation inside him. 20 years later, on 2009. City appeared to be ghost town, untill one of the photos revealed... that city is just plain to be ghost town, the truth is, those who are out there are still fighthing for their lives, wishing that one day the gates out of Saint Marian will be opened by United States army, so that they would go to one way - home. But.. in Saint Marian.. theres more darker and mysterious things are hidden... there are evil that doesn't sleep.


For Extra Information: The Project has began its development. For those who willing to help(Suggestions,Maps,ideas) please don't hesitate. We will be selecting fresh new admin team, rper admin team. Those who are not new to Roleplaying stuff, will get the idea of what is this all about. Its about Wasteland that has huge ammounts of infected air and places. The same happening happened on Chernobyl on 1986. The Project will take a while, due of its story writing, suggestion taking and mapping problems of city. The city Los Santos is renamed to Saint Marian.

This is epic! I used to map for a zombie server called "||ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE||" so i have allot of experience in making these kind of maps. If you need anything mapped please ask me to do so, I hope i can help... already have one idea for a "back pack" explained here :

When a player has found a parashut(wich represents for a back pack) on his back he can type /bp or do a keyboard shortcut to get access to his inventory. the back pack (parashut) should stay on his back at all times, even when a player is holding a weapon.

well i hope you like the idea and i would love to map some stuff Smile

1). The Mutated : These are the poor citizen of Saint Marian City which are exposed to the radiation , they are on the early stage of mutation with the shedding of the skin and also twisted limbs which is to prepare for further stages of mutation
Abillities = Same as default zombie

2). The Hopper : the 1st Level of Mutation , the mutation that are given to the citizens of Saint Marian are mutation the structure cells of the mutated and thus through this stage , the muscle mass on the legs of the mutated increases and thus have gained them the abillity to jump long and high.
Abillities = Can use Bunny Hop

3). The Exploder : 2nd Level of Mutation , this mutation causes the victim's arm to swell and is filled with explosive liquid and this abillity can be done while the victim is alive or it is triggered automatically during death.
Abilities = Explode during death or alive

4). The Ravager : the final level of mutation where it is considered "perfect" as a weapon of destruction as it had acidic bite that causes damage to the victim's nervous system , this lumbering mutated is feared by the survivors nor the military , the hard armor plating is very hard to pierce even with bullets ,
Abilities= 200 HP , 30 Damage bite (acidic = causes victim of bite to walk slow for 1 second )


If you disagree with this suggestion just tell out ur opinions...im quite new at suggesting stuff anyways Help!

there are no class for Mutant. Since its an RP we dont need a DM level skils.

require 2 kills, Also The Admin MUST play as Mutant to balance the team, once the Team are balance between Human and mutant, you may switch side and play as Human

Dio for the spawn point maybe we can choose 4 Spawn points around Los Santos like inside Jefferson Motel , Groove Street cul de sac , The Graveyard , and in Glen Park....while the survivor outposts..we need a mapper here people !

Yep, but that server is dead now Sad they had problems....

I heard some people dont know how to RP well...So here's the tutorial...Because I'm RPing in SA-MP for about 1 year and a half and I'm getting the hang of it.
You need to follow the tutorial for a perfect RP...And the VERY FIRST thing you need to learn for basic RP is the command /me and /do..Cooperating with these commands will be in perfect RP. And also the name...At first...When my first RP began,I started calling the players their name above them...But..They keep saying "STOP METAGAMING" in OOC chat...And so that you have to ask their names so you can call them what they are.

Tutorial:
Roleplay (RP) - Taking a role, and playing it. In Catalyst Gaming and Other Gmod Servers world the word "Roleplay" is defined as "Acting as In Real Life". Roleplay is the main reason why Roleplay servers are being created, as roleplay is always fun as long as it's realistic.

In Character (IC) - Information and things which involve only YOUR CHARACTER. Your character eating, drinking, chilling, dressing and so on.

Out of Character (OOC) - Information and things which involve YOU. Special channels are made for this, /b, /pm and /f to talk OOCly. You can talk about what are you doing, not your character. You can write anything in there, as long as it's not OOC insults, other than IC, where every sentence must be completely roleplayed. Your Out Of Character information/things shouldn't affect your In Character actions. (If it does, it is metagaming. See below )

Metagaming (MG) - Using OOC information IC. This is rulebreaking, which is not tolerated and forbidden. Basicly, you find out In Character information by Out Of Character actions.

Example: Person A meets Person B, while A doesn't know B's name. He looks above his head to a tag, reads it and says: "Hi, B". This is most common metagaming example. In Real Life there isn't any tags above your head which would describe your name.

A right way to get another person's name is asking them. "Hi, what's your name, I'm Billy!" Person B replies: "Hey Billy, I'm Gerrard, nice to meet you!" - Right way to get the name, without metagaming.

Powergaming (PG) - either forcing another player into a RP situation, which ends in the other player's disadvantage, or doing unrealistic things, which you couldn't make IRL.

First example: You want to kill Person B. Let's name him, Billy.
* Looliiz shoots Billy from his deagle and kills him - WRONG.
You have forced him into a RP situation, where he must commit suicide. You must let him to resist.
* Looliiz aims at Billy's head and shoots. /action Do the bullet hit him? - RIGHT.
He can resist now, by either jumping, crouching, or whatever he can do with realistic roleplay.

The second example: doing unrealistic things.
* Looliiz takes a can and throws it full power, and it falls to the moon. - WRONG.
No one could do that In Real Life. You must be realistic.

Sadly, people abuse the powergaming rule, since they are so smart and tough that they think they can resist everything.

DeathMatch (DM) - In Roleplay Concept, is killing a player for no reason. Just shooting them because he likes to shoot and kill, and it's forbidden.

Revenge Kill (RK) - attempt to physically harm a player who killed you before for the same reason - killing you. Some people think that Revenge Kill is only when you actually kill the person, but it is also a physical harm. This is simple - you are going to kill your killer, for revenge. You can't do that, because of a simple rule - when you "die" (critically injured, unless it's a Player Kill), you lose 30 minutes of memory. So you can't remember who killed you.
Associated with Metagaming (Above)

Kill on Sight (KOS) - either killing everybody you see (associates with DeathMatching, see above), or killing a certain person you hate as many times as you want. This is forbidden and not tolerated.

Logging to avoid - Exiting the game with either "quit" in console, or pressing esc, choosing "Exit Game" and then "Yes". There are 3 types of logging to avoid: Death, Arrest, and RP Situation. In Real Life you can't just disappear.

Exploiting - abusing bugs. Simple, it's just exploiting game/script bugs for your advantage. Not gonna say any examples, as people might abuse them. (lol)

Chicken Running - Running in zigzags to avoid being shot at (with this kind of sync, hard to hit.). It's running like a retard from side to side. If you don't want to get jailed for Chicken Running, run straight forward.


Gun from ass: Non-RPing taking a gun out of inventory aka scrolling to change/draw a weapon. Catalyst Gaming doesn't have an animation of drawing out a weapon (unlike Other gamemods like HL2RP or Perp 3), so you must RP taking it with /me.

Example: /me takes out a deagle from his inner shirt pocket.

Gun in ass: Vice Versa to Gun from Ass, must be roleplayed too.

Example: /me puts his deagle in his inner shirt pocket.

Tips

Don't decide it all
When typing an action or response during role-play, be sure to avoid writing in the other player's response.

Bad Example:

* Looliiz swings the bat at her head, smashing it in, and watches her fall unconscious.

The above example is powergaming, forcing someone to take your hit and their reaction.

Corrected Example:

* Looliiz swings the bat towards her head in hopes to knock her unconscious.

This new example is acceptable. Not only were you able to swing that bat towards her head and suggest that you wanted her unconscious, but you give the other player an opportunity to choose their own response to that action. They can either take the hit, duck and miss the hit, or whatever else they want to do. .
